Further progress has been made for preparing our motors and driver boards for their placement within our device. First, each individual motor requires four short wire connections to be soldered, in preparation for direct soldering to the driver boards later on.

With a large number of motors prepared, the connections to the driver boards could begin to be made. To do this, the motor wires were threaded through a small hole in the motor support structure, with the driver board slotting in on the other side of this structure. Once positioned correctly, the wires could be soldered directly to the board, binding the motors and drivers to the support structure.

This represents a short sample of the total amount of motors and drivers required for the device, but it is enough to verify our assembly process in preparation for full device testing. Additionally, small 5V, 10A power supplies have been acquired for powering the device. With these purchased and shipped, all major components of the project are now available and ready for use.
